BRANTHAM ATHLETIC V CRC
A difficult fixture for the home side facing a Scholars team that has lost just once in their last nine games and have won six of those. CRC have a much better record on the road than at The Abbey Stadium and will certainly give The Imps a stiff test. Brantham however are also full of confidence at the moment, they have won their last three, scoring 11 times while conceding just two but have lost more at home than away. Both sides get the ball down and play so this could be a real cracker of a game between two in-form sides.

DEREHAM TOWN V NEWMARKET TOWN
The home side ended their win, lose sequence of games with an excellent draw at Ely last week and they are back up into 5th place. Their home record is good with ten wins and a plus ten goal difference so this could be a difficult afternoon for their visitors. Newmarket have won just once on the road this season, that was back in October and they have won just twice in the 18 games since then, they are currently on a run of four straight defeats and it is difficult to see further than a home win here.

DISS TOWN V ELY CITY
The home side are one of four clubs hovering just above the relegation zone and a couple of bad results if others pick up points could leave them in trouble although they currently have a five point cushion. They face a difficult game here against a side banging on the leaders door. With Wroxham in cup action, the Robins will use up their game in hand over the leaders and a win will put them within four points so they have the incentive to get back winning after dropping their first points in six games last week.

FC CLACTON V MILDENHALL TOWN
A difficult game to call, they both sit in mid-table next to each other on the same points, the home side have the advantage of five games in hand plus a better goal difference and if the rain has continued since this was written they will have a surface not suited to their visitors style of play. FCC have lost just once in their last six but their last defeat at Rush Green was back in November. Their visitors have been unpredictable and inconsistent over the past couple of months and have just one win from their last four games but that was on the road a fortnight ago at Brewers Green Lane.

GT YARMOUTH TOWN V FELIXSTOWE & WALTON UNITED
If games were played on paper then the Seasiders might well be able to save on travelling cost and just post the points. Of course it isn’t played on paper and this is no foregone conclusion. They say an animal is at its most dangerous when cornered and the home side are definitely in a corner at present, it is a fair bet that they will collect at least one more win before the season is over and they will certainly be giving it their best shot here. The Seasiders are without a win in six although four of those have been drawn while The Bloaters have now gone twenty games without a victory.

WALSHAM LE WILLOWS V HADLEIGH UNITED
Walsham are another of the pack of four hovering above the relegation zone but they are an improving side having beaten the top two in recent weeks and lost narrowly to the third placed side. They picked up their third win on the road last week to open the gap between them and their hosts Newmarket and will be difficult opposition for their visitors. Hadleigh have lost as many as they have won and have been unpredictable but they have consistently beaten the sides below them in the table and will look to extend that record at Sumner Road.

WIVENHOE TOWN V GORLESTON
The Dragons currently hold one of the three relegation spots, they have breathing space on the two below them but need at least two wins to catch those above them should those team have a losing run. Gorleston have had a bit of a hiccup recently and are without a win from their last five league fixtures having won ten of their first 18. The Greens sit comfortably in mid-table and have a decent away record so will be looking to extend that record here at The Dragons expense. The home side have only played one league fixture since the turn of the year so will be eager to build on their last two results.

WOODBRIDGE TOWN V KIRKLEY & PAKEFIELD
This would be my MotD with 7th placed Woodbridge hosting an improving Kirkley side. The Woodpeckers have lost just one of their last six but have lost the services of Ross Gilfedder who has rejoined the U’s and subsequently gone out on loan again to League leaders Wroxham. The striker scored a dozen times in 11 games for the home side so will no doubt be missed. Paul Tong has made some significant signings since being installed as The Royals manager but has had a mini revival run halted with two straight defeats, both like to get the ball down and play so this could well be one worth watching.
