Deja Vu again at GYTFC

Post  Monkeyhanger on Sun Aug 26, 2012 11:42 am

I can't sleep, my head is done in after today's thrashing 1-8 by witham town in the fa cup - After such a great night over at kirkley for our hard earned win v barkingside its all going horribly wrong for the bloaters again, when in essence we could have grabbed a draw today, or if 1st team regulars had been available i honestly believe the win would have been there for the taking given our performance in the cup at kirkley..2 league defeats and now this in the cup...sum total 19 goals conceded....NIGHTMARE!!!

Our promising start to the season is in tatters..At this present moment i feel pretty upset and rightly so..only real highlight of the day was meeting a few very pleasant witham fans who easily outnumbered the bloaters support (same old story at the wellesley) and i wish them all the very best..i'm not prepared to go into the ins and outs of what appears to be wrong at my local club..those that are in the know already know.

I know as do most its gonna be a tough old season for the bloaters again this term..i only hope winning ways return soon...its hard keeping the faith in my adopted home town club..i apologise for my outburst against missing players today on our supporters site earlier and will talk to them all individually in due time, i was wrong to do that but many have assured me i was correct (no win situation)...its since been removed by my wife & the site is now closed indefinately...it was meant to be a platform to build support from for the club but thats never going to happen so i guess its best to just shut up and let those who run GYTFC get on with MISSION IMPOSSIBLE trying to get the fans and passion back for the club and build on the 20 or so regulars who faithfully support the bloaters.

Great to meet the Gt Yarmouth supporters, stay behind your club it will come. We had 3 seasons of hell in the Essex Senior League and are now back in the Ryman League, there will be up's and down's but that's what makes the up's all the more special.

Nice to speak to you and your fellow Bloaters. Good luck. Very Happy

We discovered yesterday that you can't afford to have just a couple of first teamers absent against these Ryman League sides, even Wroxham are discovering they are tough opponents so just forget this week, neither of us will ever win the FA Cup anyway!

Your lads will up their game next week though I bet, that'll be a close game, see you there.

I agree with that, football's all about ups and downs. Supporters who just turn up for the cup finals or promotion parties can't enjoy the success as much as those who have been through the tough times as well.

I understand your point of view as its never nice being on receiving end of a thrashing, but Witham are a good Ryman team so no disgrace losing to them. Yarmouth have 4 points from 4 league games (all of which were away matches) and £1000 prize money for the FA Cup win. Thats not a bad start and we're only in August so a long way to go.

I'm past caring now - it used to be a great escape from a busy work life and something to look forward to getting along to watch the bloaters..its all a sham now and has been since certain people decided to put the current chairman in charge of the club..last season was horrific..this season not too bad a start..last 3 games, a joke when you concede 19 goals...LIKE I SAID IN THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD "DEJA VU" - I've had enough,my family has had enough. its time to walk away after 20+ years of supporting the bloaters - i'll just quietly enjoy the football at ACLE UNITED & LOWESTOFT TOWN as and when.
