Cornard United
It appears that Cornard are (finally) moving in the right direction! Paul Grainger joined the management team last week and he's already brought in Suffolk U18 defender Jamie Gregory + a few others to improve the squad, with more new players on the way apparently. They lost 3-1 at Yarmouth on Saturday but took the lead in that match, and my spies in Norfolk tell me they played well. The fact that they had 5 subs on the bench for a long away trip is a good sign in itself. So watch this space, it's early days but I think they may surprise a few teams in the coming weeks...

I must admit I noticed in Brantham's prog last Saturday how well Cornard u18s were doing and couldnt quite work out why their first team were struggling

Re: Cornard United
I think they should 'borrow' some supporters from Saffy Walden.

Where exactly did you get this information non-leaguer? It certainly wasnt Chris Symes who knows nothing about it!

Re: Cornard United
Thats quite interesting, it was Chris that told me he had sold the club. I thought it was common knowledge.

Re: Cornard United
Whatever happens at Cornard, be it sold or not sold at least there is Something happening.
The new guy (Paul Grainger) has only been on board a couple of weeks and there is more information on their website in that time than there has been in the previous two years.
Whether he will be a long term appointment remains to be seen, but I did read the last note in October 2011 when those who came went!
Good luck Mr Grainger, you may need it!

Re: Cornard United
A couple of weeks ago I think in a saturday edition of the East Anglian Daily Times ( green-un ) sports section, there was a photo of Mr Symes and an article to go with it on the lines from memory " Cornard are still functioning as a Club and fulfilling fixtures but I ( Chris Symes ) is actively looking for someboby or body's to buy the Club."
Well if we recall Chris had sold the Club towards the end of last season but the deal fell through, but you have to wonder why, the question is does he really want to sell ???
The other question is how long will Paul Grainger last as " joint manager " as other over the years have joined to assist , but have left after a period of time as their input is quashed
