"The start hasn't been good, but we must not panic. We have played ok"

Manager Stuart Crawford has made moves since Tuesday's match to add two new signings to his squad with Whitton Utd's Marcus Josiah and free agent Ashley Sloots signing in time for Saturdays match.

Who's panicking Mr. Crawford!!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy

As a neutral supporter of football, i like to see what teams are doing especially in the Eastern Counties Thurlow Nunn League, it seems as H.U.F.C supporter has quoted " don't panic ",in Hadleigh 's case, but it seems strange that after just two league matches and scoring no goals, the "panic button " was pressed which resulted in not one but two midweek signings for the F.A. Cup match. When you look at other Thurlow Nunn League clubs hardly any of the Managers " panic " at this early stage of the season I wonder what the other hard core Hadleigh supporters are thinking ???? yet more players , where are they all going to fit in , granted one is injured and two are on holiday , time will tell over the season how many players move on if they are not getting regular first team football

Sammy,
They are not all going to fit in, hence the departure of Ince, Buckle, Cowans & now Deacon leaving the Club this week.
Why oh why Deacon has been allowed to go i do not no?
But there again he's not the only Striker who Mr. Crawford has been allowed to go who had a good scoring record at The Millfield!!
51 goals in 90 Apps over 2 season's at the Club, speaks for itself really.
Who will be next to depart over the coming weeks? Allan, Rose, Donnelly & McLaughlin i guess will be the next to move on as Mr. Crawford looks to build a side of Ex Ipswich, Colchester, Southend, Bury Town, Leiston & Needham Mkt Players.
Well thats ok whilst the money man is around, but will these players stay about once the money runs out?
I think we all no the answer to that & by then all the faithfull one's will have already moved on!
Watch this space over the coming weeks i think.

You must be pleased after yesterday's victory @ Harlow with £1750 pounds in the bank, plus the £1000 for the victory over Ipswich Wanderers, however where will this money go the question must be asked ??? Some Clubs I have followed over the many years of watching local Football, put some towards the players and the rest in clubs funds.
Seems your Manager has no need to " panic " now on the player front after this win, despite letting 5 players go within a week. Will he now have a squad that is too small, once suspensions / injuries kick in later in the season , will he be out signing yet more players in a couple of months time

A testing match for you in the next round of the F.A Cup @ Aveley !!!!

Absolutely no need to panic.

I watched Hadleigh play at Stanway last week, and I have no doubt that they will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. They looked sharp all over the pitch and I can't see what the problem is. Of course all of Crawf's new signings will take time to gel and in the meantime they will suffer a few unexpected results, but don't despair.......they will all come good, he's brought in quality to supplement what was already at the Club.
Stop panicking and hold on tight.....it might be a bumpy ride but when the merry-go-round ends in May it will have been worth it.

After your first teams unforunate defeat & exit from F.A.Cup at the hands of Ryman's Division One side Aveley , is your First Manager likely to press the "panic button " again in the light of next weekends F.A. Vase match at Stanway Rovers ???? Question

Mr. Ingliss i believe!!!
Mind you after Saturdays defeat there could be more on the way this week!!! Laughing

Oh & never mind the Reserve team players that have started off their season with 3 straight wins.

As I have stated on here before , I have followed local football & keep an eye on what clubs are doing for many years Hadleigh DID win something with KIDS ( the Ridgeons South League last season )

To H.U.F.C Supporter

Why does your Manager Mr Crawford not stick and work with the players he has already signed as he signed them in the first place, seems to me he either does not watch the players in action or sign them on a whim . The only way any football team can achieve anything is to have a balanced regular squad ( apart from injuries/ suspensions ) that way the players get to know each other and how each other play hence the word "team " seems to me he is unsure as to which players he wants and does not want.

If you get Mr Ingliss he will give HUFC something they don't have at present and didn't have last season, a genuine midfield player who will want the ball no matter how many people are around him and can still deliver the ball, a player who is lethal at delivering from a dead ball and a player to motivate and dictate play week in week out

Ian Brown has left Hadleigh United after a few of the Senior Players complained to the 1st Team Manager that they didnt like the way he spoke to them at training & during matches and if things didnt change those players would look to leave the club!! Mad Mad
BIG loss MR. CRAWFORD!!
I also understand that another player set to leave the club in the next couple of weeks is Kris Rose who has finally run out of being messed about by Mr. Crawford.

Pity you have lost Ian Brown has he is one of the best coahes in the area, he will be Hadleigh's loss and another Club's gain ( Felixstowe & Walton spring to mind !! ).
As for Kris Rose, from following all clubs, i think as you will agree he is probably the current first teams longest serving player, but in this day and age of football thats seems not to count for anything these days, if he does go again Hadleigh's loss another clubs gain, perhaps your Manager will get his squad sorted out one day ( hopefully before the end of the season ) Rolling Eyes

Seaman, Dennett, Lowe & Grimwood, the latest players to turn down approaches from HUFC.
WHY?
Well if you were offered £30-£35 for playing for a club & you no for a FACT that others are on £70-£100 a game would you play for the lesser amount?
Unfortunatly word has got about now that HUFC are the big spenders in local footie & anyone coming to the club are going to be looking for a bigger than normal wage slip!! Sad

Having looked tonight at most clubs websites to view their match reports etc from last weekends matches. I note on the Hadleigh website your First Team Manager has signed another striker ( Jerrell Layne ), and he hopes to include him in the squad against Haverhill. Its states he has not played for a year so is he match fit !!!! Rolling Eyes

Would have thought rather than getting a striker a midfielder/ defender would be a better bet with Kris Rose out injured long term and Goldfinch doing a hamstring on Saturday how long could he be out for Question

Would have thought a striker is the number one priority considering their existing two have only notched 5 league goals between them whilst their four leading league goalscorers are all midfielders !

"Scotty "

Read an interesting article in the East Anglian Daily Times recently about an ex Hadleigh striker ( Ben Deacon ), which stated he had scored 100 goals since joining teams in the Eastern Counties league, it stated " whilst at Hadleigh United he scored 42 goals in 76 appearances, and he seems to be scoring goals in every match he plays at Brantham !!!!

Why did he leave Hadleigh ????? Question

Sammy

I had heard that he wasn't in the managers plans this season as a striker and was asked to play on the wing, because they had signed Lee McGlone.

Why has Dan Heath been dropped ?

I watched the Hadleigh Lowestoft game on Wednesday night and again he had another fantastic game.

He constantly performs for Hadleigh and we are very lucky to have him

Why has Dan Heath been dropped ?
Because he conceded a goal from 30+ Yds against Godmanchester Rovers the other week & in Mr. Crawfords eyes that is just not good enough!!! Shocked
He has soon forgotten about all the games when Dan has saved us this season & last & how he was there when we were desperate for a keeper.
But good luck to Dan when he moves on, because someone will be after him very soon & then he will be on his way.
How long before Mr. Crawford is regreting that when Mr. Moyes gets another injury & putting in 7 days for Dan to come back, just like Josh Mayhew & others that have left since he has been in charge???

I was fortunate enough to be able to make a trip to Hadleigh to watch the Suffolk Premier match against Lowestoft , I must say in my opinion Hadleigh's keeper Dan Heath proved his worth with a fine double save in the first half, and made some other fine saves through out the match when the Hadleigh defence had been soundly beaten

If its correct what H.U.F.C Supporter remarks are true about letting in a goal from distance how can you drop a player for one error, if any Manager did that every week he would need a very large squad , especially after watching the match Wednesday night as there was certainly one or two Hadleigh players who through their reputations are on good money in my opinion ( for what its worth ) did not earn their keep in this match
