Godmanchester Rovers FC
Just seen the United Counties League Cup draw and Goddy have been included and have received a home draw! Does this mean that they lost their appeal to the FA to stay in the Thurlow Nunn League. Can anyone confirm this please?

The FA site for the United Counties League constitution is showing Goddy as being in the Premier Division.

Should never had to go to an appeal...they never wanted to move to the UCL in the first place.Just proves that the corruption is in the lower reaches of the fa also.
Well done Goddy back where you want to be.

Indeed! The amount of times you hear on national traffic reports "the A14 around Godmanchester" in relation to incidents!
It does seem a nonsense that this ever started, it is a different matter when a team gets promoted or relegated and has a preference for a league or division they want to be in, but to be (seemingly) picked up and plonked in a different league by the FA when they hadn't even requested a move is just plain wrong at any level of the pyramid.
The other matter is that both the UCL and ECL will each have an even 20 team Premier Division, whereas if the appeal had been unsuccessful it would have meant 21 + 19, both having a team each week without a fixture.
Thankfully common sense prevailed (never thought I'd hear myself saying that in relation to the FA!).
