Two Twins, 39 grounds, 550 miles, 24 hours, four packs of Monster Munch, One new clubhouse, Simples!

Felixstowe & Walton United will be hoping for a financial boost next Monday (2nd Feb) with our own set of twins undertaking the challenge of a whistle-stop tour to visit all 39 Thurlow Nunn League Premier and First Division clubs in a 24 hour period to raise money for the Development Fund.
Stuart & Chris Daynes are planning to start at 5am and complete the journey by 9pm on  Monday evening or early on Tuesday 3rd.

Hampered in our ambitions to progress by a poor quality, old clubhouse and changing facilities that are more suited to the 19th century than the 21st, we now have the backing of the Town council, plus The Suffolk FA are also backing the club's efforts to finally re-build the facilities, providing state of the art changing rooms, men's, ladies and juniors, clubhouse and function rooms, hospitality areas, kitchen and snack bars, club shop, offices and much more.
Facilities manager Chris Daynes, one half of the day-tripping twins said, "We are currently preparing detailed plans ready to submit a planning application by the end of this season. To do this we require £15,000 to pay for the various drawings, surveys, fees etc. We have already raised £10,000 since September through a variety of fundraising ideas and grants but we need that further £5k ASAP, hence this latest challenge. Once we have planning permission we can unlock FA funding and various grants to help towards the actual build costs."

The Daynes duo, Chris & Stuart, plan to embark on their monster 550 mile tour starting at The Goldstar Ground via FC Clacton in the south, Fakenham Town in the north, King's Lynn in the west and Saffron Walden in the south west and everywhere in between, starting and finishing at the   Goldstar Ground, raising sponsorship and hopefully collecting more along the way.

You will be able to follow Chris & Stu's 39 Grounds Challenge every step on the club website on the day and via the clubs social media platform. www.felixstowefootball.co.uk

All we now need is support and money!

Grounds that host to clubs will only be visited once as that will take in the two clubs!
