League Cup

Post  homer on Fri Jul 03, 2015 2:30 am

I notice that Debenham LC, Great Yarmouth Town and March Town United opted not to enter the competition this season. Has this happened before?
In my Isthmian days I'm pretty sure it was compulsory to enter the League Cup (presumably as had seperate sponsor from the League( e.g. Hitachi), obviously not the case in ECL. Anyone know why these clubs have opted out?

No idea why these Clubs have opted out of the competition (Presumably cost implications) but Clubs were given the opportunity, following the AGM, to opt out of cup competitions if they so wished.

Ryman clubs have had the option to opt out the last two seasons, it made sense that the Ecl followed suit and offered this to its member clubs too.
