Ipswich Wanderers showing ambition.
A comment from the chairman
It is always sad to see a promising young player leave our club. But we wish Billy Holland the very best as he joins Step 3 club Needham Market. Billy has done great things for Wanderers in his two seasons with us and he departs as our top scorer so far. Good luck, Billy.
We remain an ambitious club and we will do everything possible to attract and retain talented players. Sometimes the lure of higher level football will persuade players to try their skills at a new club. But we at Wanderers want to provide the best football that we can and that means having the best playing squad and the best facilities at Humber Doucy Lane. To that end, we have this year applied for promotion to Step 4 for the first time. This will possibly take a few years to achieve but, with the support of everyone at The Doucy we will get there.
We currently have a good squad and an excellent management team. They have taken us to the last 32 of the FA Vase and gained some fine FA Cup victories too along the way. Wanderers are determined to keep our successful team together and to add players when the right ones are available. This season has promised a lot and there will be exciting times ahead for Ipswich Wanderers.
