Optimism ?
Hard to see who HUFC are going to finish ahead of at the end of the 2017/18 season.
The teams coming up are strengthening, Wroxham and Histon will be strong, Brantham looking like top three, Felixstowe & Walton up there competing as usual.
Thank God Wivenhoe Town, FC Clacton and a few others remained in the division to compete with.
We have to find some ambition if we want to continue in the Premier Division.
But hey ! We've got some very nice new floodlights.

Re: Optimism ?
I think that Hadleigh, Clacton and Wivenhoe will be struggling again. The amount of money that some teams are throwing about is ridiculous, BUT I suppose it more or less guarantees some kind of success at this level. I expect teams like Stowmarket and Coggeshall will be ok with what they're spending. The rest will be much of a muchness. Wroxham are not as strong as you might think. They've lost their best player in Ben Lewis and having watched them a few times last season I don't think they'll struggle but, equally, I don't think they'll be up there either.

Re: Optimism ?
I see that the Thurlow Nunn Prem may be relegating 4 next season. With the premier division having 24 teams this season and the first division only having 21 why did only one team (Swaffham) get relegated?

Spixworth play in Bowthorpe and are now called Norwich CBS FC. Which sounds like they should be servicing boilers or summat!
Re: Optimism ?
Harwich were not eligible for promotion as they finished outside the top 5 in the Essex & Suffolk Border League.theted wrote:oh stand corrected spectre....thought harwich had applied to come back but cant see them on the list...have to see what the agm throws up saturdaySpectre wrote:The last constitutions I saw were at this link
