Player Movements
Early September I wrote on the forum " player movements " now the season is well underway I see from the press and various Club websites, the Player Movement " merry-go round " has started, with several players moving Clubs in Suffolk, Craig Payne who i rate highly moved from Woodbridge to Stowmarket ( but i see he has picked up a nasty knee injury ), but Woodbridge have now released Sam Banya to join Hadleigh, Hadleigh seem to unfortunately be dogged with injuries to key players . I now see from their website Stuart Jopling has signed for them , oblivious with Banya & Jopling joining the First Team Manager is looking to put a halt to their relative poor start to their season, are they now a team to watch to climb up the league table, only time will tell .
Whilst the season is still young other teams have players in & out so i feel at present the league is still wide open, although one could say Wroxham have got off to a good start, Dereham however seem to be dropping points, " Crackers " club seem to have crept up the league un-noticed & Brantham are going well with matches in hand

He did, came on as sub after half an hour. Showed his class in flashes but couldn't prevent a defeat
Re: Player Movements
I have just heard that there is movement at Kings Lynn. Paul Cousins has been sacked and Kevin Boon has resigned, after a bust-up.

Re: Player Movements
Seems Paul Cousins has been a "naughty boy " shall we just say " playing away from home ", but not on the football pitch, there is an article about this on the "Wisbech Standard " newspaper website

Luke Read was spotted sitting in the stand at Walsham Le Willows yesterday together with another former Brettsider!

Re: Player Movements
Obviously Clacton couldn't come up with the cash as Wakey was spotted at the bar there during their FA vase defeat to Whitton, seemed strange on the day as Hadleigh had a game too.

Try this simple addition 2+2 = ?? (By your logic the answer is 5)
Ben Wake is flatmates with Clacton manager Andy Taylor.
That ugly "c" word again, Yiddo

Re: Player Movements
The only ugly C word should have been directed at your number 6 who was sent off in extra time for an off the ball incident that would have been more at home at a wrestling match, let alone the other two Clacton players who got reds LOL

Re: Player Movements
Wonder who many more Hadleigh players will be leaving, as I note the Manager has signed two on loan from Bury Town, according to their website several players are still injured, where are they going to fit in when fit again, and those that have just signed may have cause for concern in as much are they going to get a match. is the the reason Ben Wake left, and now it seems Luke Read may be on his way as well
Having said the above i dare say other players are on the move at other clubs

Hadleigh must have one hell of a budget, rumour has it that their contract players although on big bucks are paid per game played and not per week

Re: Player Movements
Yiddo, I have heard some get the same money win, lose or draw, but don't know if its a true statement, but like most Clubs that paid good money i do at times wonder where these Clubs get the finances from as it seems this season the attendance figures are down on last season when you look at attendances posted against each match on the Ridgeons results pages

Re: Player Movements
I think you will find that Luke Read is refusing to play. Apparently has been told that once all the injured players are fit he wont figure in the squad.
So will he be moving to Walsham or Felixstowe in the next couple of weeks

I think you will find that some are paid per game played, where as others are paid per week.
I have heard of some getting as little as £20 per game & others as much as £80 per game, but if they can afford it then good luck to them.
Just hope that the money man doesnt jump ship????

I tend to believe half of what I see, a quarter of what I hear and bu**er all of what I read in the rumour rooms and I don't know much, but one of the few things I do know is that if Luke Read wouldn't be good enough to get into the HUFC squad when they are at full strength then we should expect the Brettsiders to win the League by some distance because Read must be up their with the most talented players currently playing in the Ridgeons.
